Biodiversity Protection
Beyond One led the project “Biodiversity Conservation in the Binational Mira and Mataje Rivers’ Basins”. An initiative aiming at enhancing biodiversity protection in an area shared between southwestern Colombia and northwestern Ecuador, where both the Chocó and Tropical Andes biodiversity hotspots converge. The project brought together a consortium of organizations, including NGOs, universities, and public research institutes, from both countries. SDG-Spillover Effects
SDG-Spillover Effects (or simply SDG-Spillovers) refers to the influence that a country, region, or socio-economic unit has on another, directly or indirectly, in a way that contributes or undermines the latter’s efforts to achieve the SDGs (i.e., can be mapped to specific SDG-targets and/or SDG-indicators from the UN Global Indicator Framework).
SDSN & SDSN Andes
Beyond One is the secretariat of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network for the Andean Region (SDSN Andes). The regional chapter of the global UN SDSN that works under the auspices of the United Nations Secretary General to promote the implementatio of the Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030) and the Paris Climate Agreement.
The SDSN Networks in Action reports present the work of all SDSN networks, including SDSN Andes.
